Maybe we can meet up on the sun.

Well today was a rather interesting and long day. To the left is me at about 8 or 9 a.m. in the middle of the White Mountains, being cold in the -2 degree air and enjoying the scenary.

Today, I went on a drive with my parents. I was a part of the family, for once, and I really enjoyed myself. We left shortly after 7 a.m. to hit the road, and got in the gorges around 8:30 or 9.

We brought Lily, which was a mistake in a way, but also a learning experience. We've discovered she gets carsick, which is VERY bad when she is a hunting dog and needs to be able to tolerate long car rides. She got sick once on the way up all over the inside of her kennel that sat between Laura and I, and the stench was with us the entire ride after that. Nothing like half digested wet beef dog food smell! She slept the rest of the ride, but when we were literally pulling into our driveway at the end of the day, she got sick yet again. Of course, she couldn't wait the two seconds it would take to open the door and take her out of the car. I can't stand vomit. My Dad said that if she doesn't grow out of this, then he might have to trade her in for another model, which is really sad yet understandable. He bought her for hunting purposes, and as a housepet. If she can't serve as his hunting dog, then what's the point? I don't know, we'll see.

We drove the entire base of Mount Washington, which was beautiful, as always, and made dozens of stops so I could snap some photos. We drove through North Conway, and hitched onto the Kangamangus (sp?). We drove it, got onto 93 south, and looked for some eats. We found a cute restaurant in some small town where all the families besides ours were snowmobiling. I wish my family had the money to take up sledding, because it looks like so much fun. I think we're taking up cross-county skiing next winter, though. That should be rather interesting.

After we ate, we headed home. I slept on and off the whole way in really uncomfortable positions. When we got home, I relaxed until Ray got me, and we spent the rest of the afternoon and night together. I finally picked up my birth control, so I'm pretty relieved about that, since I've been putting it off for a while now. I'm going to give it a try again, and see how my body reacts to it this time around. Sure, there are a lot of advantages to birth control, but also a lot of negative side affects. I'm hoping that most of the ones I experience last time I was on it was emotional and not a direct affect from the pill, but we'll see. I'm a lot more positive and into my relationship right now, so I'm hoping nothing changes. If they do, I'm out though. I may give another brand a try, but all birth control have around the same side effects, so we'll see about that.

It's getting late and I have work tomorrow. After work, I'm hoping to hook up with a few friends (no, not in that way) and have a good night. I'd like to drag Matt along with whatever happens, and Corey is supposed to hang out. Anyone else, would be cool as well. I'll see what happens, maybe everything will just be a total bust.

Here are some pictures from today (click to view larger sized image):

I hope you had a lovely tyime today, both with your family and me. I'm sorry if I seemed off today. Maybe it's because I was, but it's not because of your or anything like that... really it was probably just because my sleep schedule was so messed up. I had a good time with you tonight. It was very nice and relaxing.

Your pictures look beautiful. I'm really glad those lenses I got you are proving to be of good use and are showing differences in your photography. I really like the black and white one with the stream, and I like the one of the bending mountain road. Very good work. =)

-Your love, Ray
